3) Derek Marr, part time insurance salesman, lives alone in a small apartment over a chinese food restaurant, but has frequent visitors. Makes most of his money on the ebay black market.
4) Chili takes forever to warm up.
5) Well, my clearest one is of you passing on the spoon of authority (was it a spoon?) at closing ceremonies.
6) Bass drum. Driving, thumping, intense ryhtym, but with a backbeat fun side. No one can resist the bass drum if they're around it for a while, they always take a playful thump at it.

3) Douglas Kaine is a consultant for the Gem Manufacturing company, designing new forms of paper clips. The unusual amount of money in the business means he drives a Miata, and looks out of place doing so. He lives in the suburbs, and plays golf on weekends. He has no children, but the store manager at EBX thinks he does because of all the videogames he purchases.

1) We both made the same mistake at the same time. At least we met each other because of it.

3) Tae Lossel was born in California, of a German father and a Japanese-American mother. After a failed attempt to break into the professional surfer world, Tae instead turned to his other passion: murals. He started as a graffiti artist in his youth, but now regularly receives commissions to paint neo-modern murals on the sides of buildings. Although he is mostly known for Whelanesque seascapes, he occasionally delves into Mondrian or Wrightesque geometries, incorporating structural elements of buildings in his lines and images.
4) That little restaurant where we bumped into each other had good food.
5) Well, I first met you at Arisia, but the circumstances weren't that good. Times change.
6) Xylophone. Bright, clear, equally capable of single notes or chords, with a distinctive metallic element. Sometimes disregarded as childish or uninteresting, it has a surprisingly important role. Plus I once saw the flying karamazov brothers play one with bowling pins as they were juggling in the pins. A very impressive act.
7) Ever though of ending up further east, so we can hang out more often?

1) Its been one of the wonderful/amusing ironies of my life that some of my best friends in recent years were all met through the same ex-girlfriend (and of course, most of them are not even friends with her anymore). You are certainly no exception.

3) Surfing, huh? That's a funny image, considering I've never been on a surf board in my life. *grin*

4) Yeah, its a pretty decent place. Mostly we go there when

ladyarren's parents are visiting and they want to go out to eat.

5) Yeah, that wasn't an especially pleasant experience, though I enjoyed most of Arisia when it wasn't touching on that particular dysfunctional arrangement. Enough so that I returned the following year, anyway, though I haven't been back again since.

6) What an unexpected and interesting response. Hm.

7) Thought? Yes. At the current juncture it isn't likely to happen, though. Not through any particular desire on my part to stay here, but my wife is fairly committed to staying in this area at the moment. I'd need a pretty compelling reason to make it happen, and right now, I haven't got one. It is a shame, since I get to see all you folks so rarely this way, but I'm afraid it can't be helped at the moment.

1) It took you a long time to get to a good level of facial hair.
2) "Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting" Sorry, has to be done. It's true.
3) Jeremy Stone was a government experiment gone awry. Some saw it went exactly as planned, but others say it went horribly, horribly worng. Enhanced beyond the capabilities of average man, he also proved uncontrollable by those who had altered him. Now a fugitive, he uses his faster than lightning reflexes, superhuman strength, and hypergenius saavy to take out third world dictators and government puppets across the globe.
Oh wait, that was your question. Ooops.
4) I'll bet you get straight A's, huh? (Lucky punks we left them alone)
5) As I mentioned before, I first remember you from Orientation week, where I only opted to talk to you because your t-shirt indicated you might have similar interests.
6) Some sort of Tympani or Steel Drum, where you can feel the sound go through you, and you can't help but get up and move because of the energy thrown off by them. One of the rare tuneable drums, which makes it highly adaptable. Sometimes it can be out of tune though.
7) To turn it around on you, What are you up to these days?

4) That may have been the single most surreal moment of my life...

7) Like, you, there is too much. I will sum up. Grad school at Emerson, part-time work at WBooks, part time tutoring writing at Berklee. Boxing, Muay Thai, Gaming. My sweetie 3000 miles away, starting on her degree. Teh suxxors. Attempts at writing sporadic and slow, due to busy schedule. When degree done, likely leaving state to be with sweetie, until she is ABD. Then possibly returning, depending on jobby-job status, ect.
