So, um, apple picking anyone?

Amanda and I are going apple picking on October 8th, midday. Want to join us? We’re planning on going to Carver Hill Orchard in Stow, which is a traditional orchard with older trees, the kind where you use catch-poles to pick the apples, and a nice little orchard store. If we’re so moved, we’ll go from there to Honey Pot Hill Orchard down the road, which has a bigger variety, but they’re the dwarf trees. HPH also has things like a petting zoo, and we may end up going there for cider donuts alone….

Anyhow, you’re welcome to join us. You can either meet up with us at our place around 11am, or you can meet us around noon at Carver Hill (carverhill.org). Let us know either way, so we know to expect you, and can be sure to join up with you.

Amanda and I are planning on picking a fairly large quantity, so we can make tons of yummy foodstuffs, but even if you’re only thinking of picking a few for eating, we’d love to hang out with you.

I really want to go, but sadly I woke up this morning with my sinuses completely stuffed. I don't think I'm going to make it this time. Maybe next year?

{sigh} I am sufficiently brain-fogged that I kept thinking it was this week, even with the date right there. I did something similar this morning, and ended up being 40 minutes early for an appointment.

I would like to be there but I'll be deciding somewhat last minute. If the weather's too nice that day, I'll hopefully be leaf-peeping with my +1 in his convertible. If it's not warm enough to go topless, I'll try to drag him along.
