Big News

We have some big news to share.  It’s a big deal, and a big change for us.  It’s going to mean some changes to our social life, and to almost every aspect of our life, actually.  Some of you we’ve told already, and some of you have probably suspected (or possibly feared?).  We’ve been thinking about it and planning for it for months now, and now that we’ve reached a certain stage in the, um, developments, we’re ready to tell everyone (after the cut).

We’re house hunting!  We started the process just a few weeks ago, with the help of the wonderful Susan Wilson (thanks to the good words of all who have had positive interactions with her in the past).  We’ve gone out and looked at a few properties in the pat two weekends (obviously that won’t happen this coming weekend), and despite a rocky start, we’re confident now that we’ll be able to find something that suits us in our budgeted range.  We’ll probably be a little further west than we’d generally prefer, but still inside of 495.  We’re looking south of where we are now, due in large part to Amanda’s commute (Maynard to Walpole is grueling!)  We’re happy to chat about it with anyone who is interested, but neither of us is a prolific poster, so you may not see a lot of updates on it here.

And a few apologies for the overly dramatic opening. *grin*  We’re not keeping it a secret or anything, we just hadn’t made a broadcast about it yet …

Yaaay you did go with Susan! She is super-awesome.

I will point out that Millis is eminantly affordable, has some lovely houses for sale, and is close to Walpole... :) (don't know how the commute to Regis would be, but it's not bad at all to Wellesley.)

Oh, and if you haven't heard them, remind me to tell you some of our tales of househunting sometime. We can swap war stories. :)
